Totally here you there! I think it’s the skill of discernment, a use of all of our faculties, that is the most effective method for meaningful decision-making. More to come on that topic…

One that comes immediately to mind was in 1985 when I had left a job, and had some severance pay. I had attended a seminar about how to become a court reporter (a career that would have allowed me the independence of being self-employed and provided a livable salary). Despite many signals from dreams and my gut that this was not a good choice, I went ahead and paid for the self-study training (with all the severance money I had), only to discover at the end that it was all a scam, unless I was willing to invest several thousands of dollars more to purchase specific equipment sold by the same outfit. I was unable to pass their “certification” testing without their equipment. When I discovered this after months of self-disciplined training, I wasn’t even really surprised because my gut had known it all along.

But it’s also true that I’ve swung the other way — following my gut when my reasoning faculty was screaming, NO!!!

Don’t know that it’s possible to get it right all the time. Reminds me of bidding in bridge — sometimes I’m overly aggressive, sometimes I’m overly conservative. Once in a while I’m just right.

And by the way, glad you’re up and running kiddo. Keep it up.

This is insightfully written, heartfully created. And thank you for the credit — but all I did was point the way a time or two. Look what you turned it into!

Best of luck with it all. I’ll be sure to check back often.
